MX4SIO (Memory eXpansion For SIO) is an adapter for the PlayStation 2 that lets you connect Micro SD cards to the memory card slot. SIO is the name of the PlayStation's interface chip. In the PlayStation 2 it is called "SIO2". The SD card does NOT replace a memory card! Since it is only an adapter and not a converter and SD cards and memory cards work similarly, but not the same, the SD card is not recognized by the console. Only specially developed homebrew software can access the SD card,although the software is currently in the development phase.
